Artist in School

Roscommon County Council has chosen Cloonfour National School to participate in the Artist in School Programme. This coming school year we will welcome Artist Erica  to work with the children within the Arts curriculum. We can't wait to see what our budding artists create!

                            Green Schools Programme

We are well underway in our green schools programme. We are currently working towards our first flag, the 'litter and waste' flag. So far we have cut down on the amount of waste we have in school, increased our recycling and even started composting!

                         Roscommon G.A.A. debutant

We even had our very own student Adam Gaffney represent Roscommon schools team in the recent Connacht club championship game in Sligo. Roscommon senior team were unlucky to succumb to the home side. However, the Roscommon schools' team proved a different team where they came away with a draw. Well done Adam! We are all very proud of you!

               Roscommon Tidy Schools award Winners

Last year we entered the "Roscommon Tidy Schools Awards". Our ever active Parents Association gave us a read 'dig out'! The students were busy planting flowers, watering window boxes and keeping  the yard nice and clean. Our shabby nets were taken down and we even got our gates painted (Thanks Noel!). We were delighted to be announced as "The Best New Entrants" winners. We won a cheque for 200e and are using this money in the upkeep and the appearance of the school. We have entered again this year and are hoping to wow the judges with our colourful window boxes and well cut lawns.
